Mr Robert Campbell is an Associate Principal in the Beijing office of McKinsey & Company, the global management consulting firm. He has lived in Beijing since 2003.
Mr Campbell is a leader of the Asia-Pacific Travel Infrastructure Logistics practice, with a focus on ports and shipping, and also travel/tourism. He has also done work in real estate, mostly linked to the hotel/casino and tourism sectors. Earlier in his time in China, Mr Campbell worked extensively in China sourcing, helping multi-national companies build their procurement capabilities in China.
Prior to China, Mr Campbell worked for McKinsey for three years, based in Sydney and London. In addition, Mr Campbell has worked in economic research at the Economic Planning Advisory Council in Canberra, as a lawyer in Sydney, and he also ran a small American NGO called the Tibet Poverty Alleviation Fund, based in Lhasa in Tibet.
Mr Campbell holds degrees in Economics and Law from the Australian National University in his home town of Canberra, and also a Masters of Public Administration from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard.
