Ramya Movva

Ramya is an industrious individual who came to Australia in 2012 with great interest to pursue a career in Medical Research. Her investigation on cancer pain management using methadone enabled her to be a recipient of Griffith Academic Excellence Award in 2013 for her Maters in Medical Research at Griffith University. In 2014 she was a beneficiary of Griffith University Postgraduate and International Research Scholarships. She pursued her PhD with Griffith University in collaboration with Mater Research Institute-University of Queensland, Brisbane. Her PhD focusses on investigating mechanisms to underpin novel colonic therapies for ulcerative colitis using thiopurines and microbiotic manipulations.
