Manit Rastogi, Morphogenesis
Manit Rastogi is a founder member and Managing Director of Morphogenesis, an award winning, international architecture and Urban Design practice based in New Delhi, handling projects across varied and complex typologies. He is presently the Director at Sushant School of Art and Architecture, Gurgaon, is a member of the Technical Advisory Committee to the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India and is also the founding member of the Association for Development and Research of Sustainable Habitats (ADaRSH), New Delhi. He has been on the jury panel for various juries including The British Council’s Young Design Entrepreneur award and the Times Foundations’ The Urban Reader Connect Initiative.
At Morphogenesis, sustainability is a core creative value and includes social, cultural, financial, technological and environmental sustainability. The work of the practice has been exhibited at several venues globally and Morphogenesis has received numerous accolades including Best Learning Building, World Architecture Festival Awards 2009 (Barcelona), The Economic Times ACETECH Award 2009 and Project of the Year in The AIQ Awards (Israel) among many others. The work has also been extensively published in both national as well as many respected international publications in Italy, the United Kingdom, Thailand, Spain and Japan.
Manit has actively contributed to many leading symposiums and conferences across Asia including The International Conference on Competitive Cities, the World Architecture Congress in Dubai and Singapore, Green Building Conferences in Singapore and Hong Kong, Urban Islands in Australia and the first International Summit on Corporate Social Responsibility in New Delhi.
