The 2013 program includes the following:

Pitching Sessions

Companies will have just five minutes to convince a panel of senior entrepreneurs and investors that their technology has what it takes to play on the global stage.

Attendance is free but please note numbers are limited.

Selected companies will participate in workshops and depart to the US in April to take part in the Advance Innovation Summit in Silicon Valley.


Participants will develop their pitch and receive critical feedback on their business model from experienced Australian entrepreneurs and investors.

Mentor Program

The Advance Innovation Program matches each company with a US based Australian entrepreneur. The program begins in March 2013 and each participant will receive 8 x 1 hour sessions of mentorship via Skype.

Mentors are successful Australian entrepreneurs who have entrepreneurial or investment experience in the US. The Advance Innovation Program matches participants and mentors based according to industry focus and specialisation.

US Program

Day One – Wednesday April 24 2013         SILICON VALLEY 

The day will feature informal, intimate discussions with Australian entrepreneurs living in Silicon Valley and include time with mentors. Companies will also have the opportunity to pitch to panels, and 10 companies will be selected to pitch at the Investor Forum  

Day Two – Thursday April 25 2013          SILICON VALLEY 

The Lounge Chair Series brings together the who’s who of global Australian innovation for a day of inspiration, insights, and actionable advice.

Day Three – Friday April 26 2013           SILICON VALLEY

At the Investor Forum 10 companies will present a 5 minute pitch to an audience of Angel and VC Investors.  Awards will be presented in the following categories:

  • Most Innovative
  • Most commercially viable
  • Best pitch

A demo session will follow, in which all participants will have the opportunity to show their product / service to potential investors. 

Participant Costs

There is a cost of AUD$1,995 for the program per participant. 

This does not include accommodation or flights.
