Prior to serving at IBM Greater China, Mr George Cheung was the COO for Novell (Asia), Vice President for Nortel Asia Pacific, Vice President for Avid Technology and Vice President for Naspers/Irdeto Access North Asia. He has been very successful in leading Asia/Asia Pacific Regional Operations of US Technology Firms, including via Inorganic Growth. 

At IBM Greater China, to Grow Strategic Service Revenue, Mr Cheung has developed numerous Joint Venture/Co-Investment Projects with 45 Major Chinese State and Private Enterprises, such as Su Nin Online(China's #1 White Good Retailer), Baidu(China's #1 Search Engine), China National Petroleum Corp. (CNPC & #1 Energy Company) and Sinopec (#5 in Global 100 Listed Companies). George has also been instrumental in IBM's ‘Sourcing, Evaluation & Deal Structuring’ of a number of ‘China Finance Industry BPO & Software Valued Add’ and ‘Energy Technology-Sector’ Companies.

Mr Cheung has been a lecturer to the MBA class at the Tsinghua University School of Economic Management on ‘Technology Market Entry, Enterprise Applications (Big Data, Analytics, Cloud, SaaS) and Consumer Internet (Mobile, Social Media, Pinterest)’.  George has also acted as a Judge of the 'Tianhui' MBA Entrepreneurial Project Championship of the China Academy of Science Graduate School of Management (CAS GSB), Beijing.

Mr Cheung is currently a Senior Advisor to the University of Technology, Sydney, Alumni Association, China. From 2006-2011, George has been the President of the University of New South Wales Alumni Association, China Chapter. He was the 2002-2005 Founding Vice President of the Stanford GSB Alumni Association, China Chapter.
