Innovation and the Digital Economy
ASEAN’s start-up scene and innovation landscape is evolving rapidly. An increasing number of local ‘unicorns’ (firms valued at more than US$1 billion) are becoming global names, such as Lazada, Razer, Travelocity and Tokopedia. Governments are investing heavily to develop the region into a digitally connected, innovative and entrepreneurial hub, and e-commerce and e-business platforms are playing a critical role in the drive to create a common market. This forum will explore ASEAN’s changing innovation landscape ,opportunities for Australian entrepreneurs, and access to practical support such as the Singapore Landing Pad. The panel will also explore ASEAN’s digital economy and expanding e-commerce opportunities, key trends and market insights into ASEANs online consumers.
