New York: OzDocs in NYC: Australian Short Film Today

AUSTRALIAN SHORT FILM TODAY is launching OZDocs, an evening of documentary short films at the Asia Society in New York City on November 10, 2017.

This 90-minute program features recent, wide-ranging short films from Down Under, with warm and wonderful stories including: a medical assistant breaking the law assisting her boss, a surgeon, create a medical breakthrough; Aboriginal women disguising themselves as men to work driving cattle; a woman who escaped from Soviet Hungary and came to Australia in 1957 telling her story for the first time; a woman who is Australia's last mirror maker; a woman's memories as a young girl of her great-grandparents keeping her family alive during the Soviet famine; a scientist working to save animal species; singing coal-miners consoling a community; and dating in your eighties.
