Jamie and Mark have been two high profile Australian field hockey players that were at the forefront of the professionalization of the sport in Europe.

The Netherlands was the first country to start paying players to allow them to focus only on training only for the sport. Historically, most international field hockey players had to have a job on the side to support themselves.

Bloomendaal and Rotterdam recruited Jamie and Mark respectively, two of the largest field hockey clubs in the world. Jamie had success with Bloomendaal winning the Dutch national title many times and Mark recently had success leading Rotterdam to their first ever Dutch national title.

Jamie and Mark started a coaching business, 1 & 9 Caching, that hosted field hockey clinics for young players and adults. As the business and brand has grown, they have evolved into the Jamie Dwyer Hockey (JDH) brand. These include JDH Academy, JDH Sticks, and that is the first online field hockey coaching video packages for techniques and drills.

Jamie and Mark will talk about their experiences as international field hockey players, the starting of their first coaching business and the development of the new brand and evolution of coaching through the Australian Institute of Sport and other coaching methodologies around the world.
