Emelia is currently in her final year of a combined Bachelor of Engineering Honors (Mechanical) and Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Quantitative Business Analysis. Her interest in global sustainable development has led her to be highly involved with Engineers Without Borders, currently acting as the Co-President of the University of Sydney Chapter. Through EWB she has seen first-hand the power of engineering solutions to creating positive change. She is passionate about changing social norms around careers in STEM, and has been involved in many outreach events encouraging women in engineering.
