Dr Craig Barratt is a global industry leader in wireless technology and communications. As President and Chief Executive Officer of Atheros, Craig led the company from a small startup to become one of the largest and most successful fabless semiconductor companies in the world. Acquired by Qualcomm in 2011, Atheros was recognised as one of the pioneers in Wi-Fi and several other communication technologies. Atheros silicon chips and software are used in over half a billion products per year, including mobile phones, laptops, routers, ebooks, tablets, gaming devices and TVs.

Prior to joining Atheros in 2002, Craig was Executive Vice President and General Manager at ArrayComm, a company specializing in multi-antenna signal processing, based in Silicon Valley. Craig also serves on the board of directors at Intuitive Surgical, a pioneer in robotic-assisted surgery.

Craig has been granted over 30 patents in a variety of wireless and related technologies and has co-authored a book on linear controller design, various technical publications and open-source software.

Craig is a graduate of Sydney University and Stanford University in California.
