Describe what you do and why it’s important in one sentence?
I promote vulnerable people’s rights such as children rights, migrant worker’s rights, elderly rights etc. It not only brings justice and happiness to these vulnerable people individually but also can truly change society.
Is there a secret to success?
Diligence and perseverance can make anybody successful.
What’s the most challenging or rewarding aspect of your job?
As the biggest developing country, China has lots of vulnerable people who need legal help. How to make our work more effective and valuable is the most challenging aspect of my job.
Why is it important for Australians and Alumni to have a global community while living overseas?
I think each of us can benefit from a better global community.
What do you notice to be a common trait amongst Australians overseas?
They are very friendly and modest.
How did furthering your education in Australia help advance your career?
It broadened my horizons.
What does winning the 2017 Advance Global Australian Alumni Award mean to you?
This award is the recognition of my work and a great inspiration for me.
What’s one book everyone should read?
Anything on Daoist philosophy. It can help people to constrain from greed and fundamentally reduce conflicts in this uncertain world.
