On a beautiful summer evening in New York, the Advance community came together at the Olsen Gruin Gallery for the fifth Born Global Salon. The evening featured an in conversation with Advance Social Impact Award winner Jeremy Heimans and Belinda Luscombe (Editor at Large, TIME).

With the recent release of Jeremy’s book, “New Power”, it was an inspiring and thought provoking discussion about old vs new power, the influence of social media and online movements such as #MeToo and how they are shaping new power models, the current political climate and insights on how to navigate the 21st Century.

Guests included Brett Solomon, Executive Director, Access Now; Prue Clarke, Advance Social Impact winner; Samantha Wills, SAMANTHA WILLS Pty Ltd; Donna D'Cruz, Rasa Living; Andrew Hudson, Executive Director, Crisis Action; Visnja Brdar, Creative Director, Brdar; Rachael Ruddick, Founder, Rachel Ruddick, amongst others.

It was a stellar evening filled with engaging conversation and Penfolds wine whilst surrounded by Beyond the Veil, an Indigenous Australian exhibition currently hanging at the Olsen Gruin Gallery.

A big thank you to Olsen Gruin Gallery for hosting us in their wonderful space and Penfolds for providing us with wine for the event.
