Susie Sugden and Bede Moore jointly founded Paraplou Group in Indonesia in late 2012. The group is one of Indonesia's leading eCommerce fashion players and in 2014 closed one of the ten largest deals in the country's technology space. The company recently launched, which provides a unique offering of international fashion to Indonesian consumers across the archipelago, including many famous Australian designers such as Sass & Bide, Nicola Finetti and Cameo.

Bede and Susie have been living and working in Indonesia for four years and have together built some of the biggest eCommerce companies in the country. They were co-founders and Managing Directors of Lazada Indonesia, currently the largest eCommerce player in Indonesia. Their efforts have been recognised by the global NGO, Endeavor, which selected Bede and Susie as the first foreign entrepreneurs in Indonesia to join the organisation. 

Susie originally comes from Tasmania, but spent time living in Thailand and Taiwan as a teenager. Upon graduating high school, she returned home to attend the University of Melbourne, where she received a combined Law (Honours) and Economics degree, and a Diploma in Political Science.

Bede grew up in Sydney, before moving overseas for university. He attended Harvard, where he received an AB (Bachelor of Arts) in history and a Citation in German. Bede first became interested in Indonesia while studying at Harvard, and after graduation moved to the Netherlands to continue research on Indonesia as the VOC Foundation Scholar at Leiden University. He received his MPhil (Hons) in Indonesian history for his research on the relationship between Australia and Indonesia during the Indonesian Independence period.

The pair originally moved to Indonesia with the Boston Consulting Group, in search of a new adventure.
