Celebrating our current and future leaders and innovators around the world
Thursday 13 March 2014
Sydney Opera House
From an Australian at the frontier of space technology, to a leader in identifying the GPS of cancer, to a journalist supporting African journalists to hold their governments to account, the 2014 Advance Global Australian Awards and Forum held on 13 March 2014 at the Sydney Opera House brought together Australia's best and brightest global leading international talent.
Australia's world-class game-changers and leaders came together to present and exchange ideas, share insights, and discuss global trends, challenges and solutions to help advance Australia. This is the only forum that connects Australians in a diasporal community.
Gala Dinner and Ceremony
The Advance Global Australian Awards celebrate Australians living overseas, who exhibit remarkable talent, exceptional vision and ambition. They are the only awards to recognise the important contributions of the more than one million Australians living abroad.
“The thing with Australians is that we’re not escaping Australia. The fact that we have chosen to leave a spectacular country, means we have to do something spectacular with what we do” - David Droga, Founder and Creative Chairman, Droga5, and 2012 Award Winner
