MEET OUR NEW 50 FOR THE FUTURE MENTORS! 

Advance is pleased to announce its first round of 50 for the Future Advance Innovation Program mentors: Bardia Housman, Tristen Langley, Mick Johnson, Denis Mars, Tan Le, Andrew Roberts, Laura Chambers and Patrick Collins. Each mentor will provide one-on-one advice to an Australian start-up as part of our exciting new Advance Innovation Program. If you are start-up and want to be involved, it's not too late! Chomp, chomp: Apple eats Aussie start-up for $US50m

- Apple has acquired Australian-born internet entrepreneurs (and Advance members!) Ben Keighran and Cathy Edwards's mobile app search engine Chomp for about $US50 million, according to a person familiar with the matter.

Returning to Australia - what a culture shock!

Friends who had headed back before them had mentioned that they found Australia changed, and that it had taken them a good six months to adjust to living back in Oz. Nina is only a month into that adjustment period and shares her experience of a very real culture shock in her own homeland.

Aussie Kirk Baxter wins Oscar
