 1. Message from the CEO 
 It is with sadness that we bid a fond farewell to Penny Mapp, our North America Director. Starting as a volunteer in 2005 and quickly transitioning to East Coast US Manager then North America Director, Penny has been a great asset to the organization. Playing a key role in Advance’s successful and dramatic growth, Penny has worked tirelessly for our members, volunteers, clients and supporters and will be sorely missed in the New York office and beyond.    2. Announcement - High Commissioner to United Kingdom
The Government will recommend to the Governor-General the appointment of Mr John Dauth LVO to be Australia’s new High Commissioner to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Mr Dauth is expected to take up his appointment in September 2008. [More...]

3. Jobs Mission: Premier takes Sydney campaign to the world
NSW Premier Morris Iemma announced he would travel to the United States and Great Britain in October to sell Sydney as a global financial and tourist hub, and win thousands of jobs and investment dollars for the Harbour City. 
4. University of Sydney US Business Leadership Program 
The program offers a diverse range of study topics in which senior executives of Australian business and government meet with outstanding US leaders to exchange views on topics of importance to the two countries. [More...]

ANU students and Yale students will have a new opportunity to experience life on the other side of the world, thanks to an initiative announced at the conclusion of a week-long visit to ANU by a large group of Yale alumni. [More...]

8.  Advance members in HK can nominate for Environment Award
 Australian-based environmental entrepreneur, Fiona Mathews, established the international Earth Champions Foundation in 2000. Her personal commitment to fighting environmental degradation has inspired world leaders to support the Foundation.  [More...]
