2. Advance Emerging Leaders Summit 2010 
3 - 4 May, New Delhi
On 3-4 May 2010, Advance will host its annual Summit – the Advance Emerging Leaders Summit in New Delhi. This Summit will leverage our Australian expatriate and alumni networks in India and connect them with our finest emerging leaders to inspire creative strategies, tackle key challenges and opportunities and forge stronger relationships between India and Australia. 3. Solar-Gem Wins 2010 Australian Innovation Shoot Out in Silicon Valley
Solar-Gem, one of the New South Wales state finalists, took top honors at this year’s G’Day USA Australian Innovation Shoot Out at the Microsoft Campus in Silicon Valley on January 20. Solar-Gem CEO Khimji Vaghjiani was named “Australian Innovator of the Year” by the judging panel of US technology investors and thought leaders, who were impressed with the possibilities of Solar-Gem’s innovative off-grid lighting and electricity system. 5. Sustainability Set To Become Big Business 
A dominantly corporate group attended the launch of the founding partnership between Westpac Institutional Bank and the Advance Green Network at the Australian Consulate in New York on January 27. The event came on the heels of the announcement in Davos Switzerland that the Corporate Knights Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations had just recognized Westpac as the 15th most Sustainable Corporation in the World. 7. The Food Emporium Showcases Delicacies from Down Under in January
Gourmet Mecca, The Food Emporium, went green and gold this January when it presented A Taste of Australia at all sixteen of its Manhattan locations. From January 15-28 New Yorkers were able to try and buy some of Australia’s most iconic foods and beverages from Tim Tams to Coopers Pale Ale and King Island Roaring Forties Blue cheese. [More...]

ABC News - Aussie rock veterans AC/DC missed out on a second Grammy when Green Day won the best rock album award with 21st Century Breakdown today.
