Advance was founded and is headquartered in New York City and has over 2000 local members, encompassing not only those living in New York City, but also in greater New York, New Jersey and Connecticut
New York is a world centre for many things from finance to fashion, publishing to pharmaceuticals and many things in between. We have members working and succeeding in a range of professions from financial services, life sciences, professional services and the arts.
All of the Advance networks have active committees in New York and there are regular events held here throughout the year. Come along and meet fellow Australians engaged in a multitude of professions similar to your own.

Australian Feature Film "Dying Breed" to Premiere at Tribeca
New Australian movie Dying Breed is on the verge of a major international breakthrough - securing its world premiere at the prestigious Tribeca Film Festival in New York City. Around 90 Aussies descended on P.S. 122 to network with fellow Australians and to hear from three accomplished Australians living and working in New York: Brad Blanks (from WPLJ), David Droga (Droga5) and Jennifer Nason (JP Morgan). MEMBER PROFILE
Bridget Borgobello
Bridget Borgobello was invited to study acting at The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York City from September 2006 to January 2007. The opportunity to act in New York City is a dream come true for Bridget. She loves every moment of the experience and is excited about the strong and booming Performing Arts Industry in New York.
Where did you grow up in Australia?
Melbourne. New York is the first city I have lived in outside of Melbourne.
What brought you to the United States? How long have you been here? How long do you plan to stay?
I was invited to study acting at The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute from September 2006 to January 2007. I am also a member of The Tvi Actors Studio and I plan to stay in New York for another 2 years. It has always been my dream to be an actress in New York and I am loving every moment of it.
What is your current position and your role?
Actress. I have been signed to The Kolstein Talent Agency in NY and I spend most of my time attending auditions or working on acting projects. [More...]
