An Australian now based in New York, David McCann is a Program Director with the Clinton Climate Initiative, a project of the William J Clinton Foundation. The Foundation seeks to achieve tangible reductions in greenhouse gas emissions by working with government and corporate partners around the world. David now leads the Foundation’s global work with the aviation industry, and previously helped implement major projects and programs with large city governments and the buildings sector. David came to the Clinton Foundation in 2006 from Columbia Law School, where he studied as a Fulbright Scholar and specialized in globalization and development, social change litigation and human rights. David served as Associate (Clerk) to the Chief Justice of Australia, Murray Gleeson, at the High Court of Australia in Canberra in 2004-5. David is admitted to the Bar in Australia, and practiced at the commercial law firm Mallesons Stephen Jaques in Melbourne. He graduated from the University of Melbourne with degrees in Economics and Law in 2003.
