The Sweetest Way to Heal.
It tastes great on toast but the benefits of honey are proving to be far greater. MediHoney, owned by Capilano and located in Queensland, is a world leader in medical honey and the company has been helping US doctors treat Iraqi burn patients.
After being approached by a group of US doctors in Iraq who were running burn clinics in their free time, they (MediHoney) donated some of their antibacterial wound gel and eczema cream products. They have been overwhelmed by the success and it has save many limbs that were infected with bacteria that were resistant to antibiotics. [Source: Satellite (Northern Edition), 24 Jan 2007]

It's not just a rumour! In Los Angeles at the moment are The Veronicas, who are working on their own television series. After shooting the pilot in Australia around their AIRA win in 2006 they are now pitching the project to US TV networks. They are also collaborating with top writers and producers and working on their next album, which will be released in the US and Australia simultaneously this September.
Also in town, after taking a year off, Powderfinger (left; photo courtesy Jason Kimberley), are back in the studio keeping us in suspense and working on their next hit album. The album is being produced by Rob Schanpf (Foo Fighters, Beck, The Vines) at Sunset Sound. The album will be released in Australia later this year, and hopefully will follow with a release in the US not long after....stay tuned.
